(BEAVERCREEK, OH | June 30, 2023) — CFD Research Corporation announced plans to expand its presence in Ohio by developing a research and development facility in Greene County. The expansion will create 78 new jobs. CFD Research has 230 employees currently and will surpass 300 with this expansion.
“Expanding our footprint in Ohio will allow CFD Research to perform classified work within our own facility,” said Vice President of Dayton Operations George Dalton. “This facility will enhance CFD Research’s products, capabilities, and services for the local Dayton customer, including NASIC, AFRL, AFLCMC, and more.”
The Huntsville-based defense contractor specializes in engineering simulations, advanced prototypes, and innovative designs for aerospace, defense, life sciences, materials, energy, intelligence and sensing, and other industries.
“Ohio has a global reputation as a driver of aerospace innovation that has advanced technology supporting both our armed services and private industry,” said J.P. Nauseef, JobsOhio president and CEO. “With proximity near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and world-class defense industry talent, Greene County and Ohio are ideally positioned to partner in CFD Research’s expansion that will create 78 new jobs.”
CFD Research plans to include commercial office space, an Integration and Testing Lab, and a SCIF that will provide space for technical innovation within the R&D facility. This facility will allow CFD Research to execute larger contracts and gain more visibility with customers within Ohio.
“CFD Research’s new R&D expansion will enhance the Dayton Region’s strong Aerospace and Defense presence,” said Dayton Development Coalition Executive Vice President Julie Sullivan. “The new R&D facility will not only diversify CFD Research’s geographical presence but also serve as the company’s second-largest operation.”
The new facility will leverage Greene County’s proximity to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the region’s experienced defense workforce community.
“CFD Research expanding operations in Greene County will contribute significantly to the county’s economic growth,” said Greene County Department of Development Director Eric Henry. “We look forward to the creation of 78 new jobs and the substantial capital investment that this project promises.”
