Dr. Peter Liever and his colleagues with the University of Florida have recently participated in a Zero-G flight test with The Facilitated Access to the Space Environment for Technology Development and Training (FAST) program. Dr. Liever’s research is currently focusing on the analysis and modeling of soil plume impingement caused by the landing and take-off of lunar vehicles.
The images below show the team’s experiment during the flight. More information on this topic can be found on our Spacecraft & Hypersonic Vehicles page.
