CFD Research announces the opening of its newest 19,000-square-foot expansion in Hollywood, Ala

CFD Research is proud to announce the opening of its newest expansion, an additional facility at its Joel B. Everett Engineering Test Center, in the Jackson County Industrial Park in Hollywood, Ala. At the heart of the expansion, which began with a groundbreaking on August 28, 2023, lies the advanced 19,000-square-foot facility that will now house more than 28 additional offices, larger
conference room space, a second high-bay area, as well as meeting and storage areas. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on October 28, 2024, marking a major investment in the company’s engineering, testing capabilities, and continued growth.

CFD Research Awarded AFRL Contract to Develop Sensing Technologies for Military Applications

CFD Research has been awarded a $12M contract from the Sensors Directorate of Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to provide for the development of novel, autonomous sensing technologies for military requirements and to adapt state-of-the-art commercial tools to battlefield conditions. Research objectives involve knowledge generation and management.

CFD Research Corporation expands operations in Cummings Research Park

CFD Research Corporation (CFD) recently expanded its operations in Cummings Research Park (CRP) in Huntsville, Ala. Located just a two-minute walk from CFD’s primary headquarters on Moquin Dr., the new facility adds 21,967 sq ft in the former Davidson Technologies building, offering 40 additional offices and room for further growth. A naming contest among employees has dubbed the new site the “Discovery Center,” reflecting its location on Discovery Drive.
