“Electrostatic Sampler and Method” Patent Filed

CFDRC has applied for a U.S. patent entitled “Electrostatic Sampler and Method” invented by CFDRC engineers/scientists Kapil Pant, Guiren Wang, Jianjun Feng, and Shankar Sundaram. The invention is a portable electrostatic collector for sampling and concentrating airborne particles. Particles can be collected into a small volume of liquid for analysis in environmental monitoring and bio-defense applications. The invention was developed under an SBIR contract awarded by the Department of Homeland Security.
