LTG(ret) Joseph M. Cosumano Jr. Joins CFDRC
Huntsville, AL – Jan 30, 2013 –Mr. Cosumano joins CFD Research Corporation (CFDRC) as President, effective 1 Feb 2013. Mr. Cosumano’s military and civilian experience in key modernization efforts make him a perfect fit to lead CFDRC as it continues to make significant discoveries and applications.
Mr. Cosumano has always been at the forefront of efforts to ensure U.S. Services were equipped to meet the challenges of the 21st Century throughout his 35 year career. He led the Army’s 1st Quadrennial Defense Review, initiated the Joint Program Office NMD/GMD, was the Army’s Force Modernizer, stood up the Future Combat Systems/Objective Force Office and culminated his service as the Commanding General, Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC), during 9/11 and early stages of OEF and OIF.
Mr. Cosumano’s civilian career has ranged from SVP at ATK Thiokol, to SVP KBR and lastly President and CEO of Agility Defense and Government Services. In each assignment, growing the company and providing excellent value to the customer.
